Examination & Evaluation Process

Students are evaluated on the basis of their performance in examinations, practical records, practical class work records and assignments/tasks. A mid-term examination is conducted as part of internal evaluation within two months after the commencement of the semester with a weightage of 40 percentage marks. The end-semester final theory examinations form the external evaluation part constituting 50% of the total marks. The University conducts the final examinations on a common calendar basis.   The examination question papers are set by external examiners constituted by the Board of Studies. Practical examinations are conducted by a separate board constituted by the Head of the Institution, which includes a teacher from another department along with the course teacher and the Head of the Department.
